Cosplay Journey: Flower Girl

My brother got/bought Final Fantasy VII on the pc for his birthday. My favorite character is the flower girl from the slums, Aerith.
In 2008 I made my Aerith cosplay, ofcourse when I first worn it I had “no” wig.

The Flower Girl

The dress: It was really difficult I never made a dress before like this and I used pink shiny cheap satin fabric, again. I’m also guilty of using cheap satin fabric for my cosplays! *laughs*

The Jacket: I never made a jacket before, it’s made of red polyester/cotton fabric. I sew some fake pockets on and hand sewing the buttons.

The Jacket sleeves armour and bracelets: It’s made of craft foam and painted silver. It does look more grey and I used movable eyes for studs details.

Why Aerith?

My brother got/bought Final Fantasy VII on the pc for his birthday.
My favorite character is the flower girl from the slums, Aerith. I love her personality, she was my healer in the party, the limit breaks: I used “Healing Wind” a lot and ofcourse the most saddest moment is, she died. I was heartbroken!

Crisis Core

In 2009, I made the Crisis Core version.
The costume consist of 2 parts, the top and skirt made of I think again some satin shiny fabric.

The top: I made a top with velcro attachment at the back. Flower details are made of foam.

The skirt: I made skirt with elastic add the waist with details made of ribbons combined with lace.

Wearing the costume

I was so proud on wearing my Aerith costume, it was in 2008. 14 years ago, time goes fast but still one of my favorites.

I did try to style my hair, like her and a year (2009) later I bought a wig.

What I really like, becoming Aerith and I loved my wig! What I didn’t like that I choose the wrong fabric again.
